Ceramic Doorknobs

Download Ceramic Doorknob Catalog

Ceramic doorknobs date to as early as 1840.  Three common colors are white, black and Bennington (or mineral).  Bennington is made by hand swirling three colors of clay and then firing in an oven.  If the ceramic doorknob has a flared foot, it is used on a rim lock.  If it has a straight ferrule, it is used on a rosette.
