New York Window Lift

This recessed window sash lift is simple, yet distinctive.  At the turn of the 20th century during the industrial revolution, wrought (pressed) hardware was introduced. Made by machine, this hardware required less material and labor; therefore, it was less expensive than the heavy cast hardware that was previously available. At the end of the Victorian era more patterns were made that featured simple lines and very little ornamentation.
