Art deco designs first appeared on the American scene in the 1920’s. Noteworthy is the lack of Victorian ornamentation and the appearance of strong architectural lines. Patterns were mass produced by stamping, making door hardware more affordable than ever for the working man. Our patterns are taken from antique originals and are stamped in solid brass and bronze. Glass knobs were often substituted for brass doorknobs.
